Dunes Inn Alamosa

A cute place

Liked: We enjoyed this hotel! It was an affordable for what we saw in Alamosa. The lady who checked us in was very nice and the overall vibes fit our preferences. Breakfast was nice being able to order from a list of options at the neighboring restaurant as part of the cost of staying there. It worked well for us as a place to stay the night before we visited Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Disliked: We would have appreciated more pillows. It didn’t seem like the heat worked super well for us, but then again, it’s hard to say for sure because the power was out when we woke up.

Liked: The breakfast is great! The location is perfect for NP. Restaurants are in walking distance. The room is in good size and clean
Disliked: The bed is old and soft, the cover is old too.

Pleasant

Liked: Older motel with some updates. Stayed April 2nd and room was turned down to 55 degrees. It took at least 5 to 6 hours for the room to warm up. Once warm, which was the middle of the night it was comfortable. Bathroom was cool and not comfortable for a shower. Offer breakfast with a voucher to a restaurant next door. Offering was ok.
Disliked: in winter make sure room is warm for when people check in.

One of the better retro...

Liked: I stay in a lot of retro motels and this was one of the best. Very clean, no smells. Brick walls on two sides for decoration in the room. Comfortable bed. Good made to order breakfast.
Disliked: I wish they had a cool exterior sign :)
