Ok but a bit disappointing...

Liked: Breakfast good and lovely staff.
Disliked: 5 star hotel? No fridge/ mini bar: small double bed, no bar downstairs to meet friends/ no extra amenities/ restaurant menu very limited if you don’t eat fish/ a very tiny tv on the wall - very difficult to watch/ handset said Netflix but not connected.

Liked: The staff were friendly and it was close to the sea
Disliked: When I booked online it said the room had a bath and dvd player. I was looking forward to a bath as I only have a shower at home. When I arrived, there was only a tiny shower room, and no dvd player.

Good value for money, would...

Liked: Nice location, cute rooms and atmosphere
Disliked: Thin walls, we were able to heat our neighbours very clearly and not many parking spaces

Great hotel in a great...

Liked: Great location, i managed to get a parking space next to the hotel. Friendly reception and the rooms were ready upon arrival. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Evening meal was good and the service was friendly. Breakfast was very nice in the Elizabeth hotel next door. Service was great and the food was excellent
Disliked: All in all, it's a good place to stay in a great location, I would recommend Duke's as a great place to stay in Sidmouth. My only minor criticism would be that some occasional seating near the bar for an evening drink before your meal would be good. I wanted a beer before sitting down for dinner but there was no available seating.
