Really upset.

Liked: Beautiful reception room and bar at the front of the hotel.Large walk-in shower and pleasant bar staff.Location is excellent.
Disliked: We opted for a cosy double on the forth floor of the hotel. It had almost everything we could ask for, big walk-in shower and comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and even an iron and ironing board but sadly no air conditioning. As it was 32 degrees on the day we checked in this worried us.There was also no air conditioning in the bar so we had a quick drink and then left as it was not pleasant. All through the night it was 29 degrees in our room with the window open and a desk fan on full and because we had the window open we had no chance of sleeping as from 4am trucks were delivering food to the local M&S.At breakfast we were so pleased to find the the breakfast room had air conditioning however there was no one there to sign us in? After a couple of minutes waiting along with two other couples we just found our own seats.Eventually a lady appeared so I gave her my room number and then she just walked off? No word of direction as to where everything is.The breakfast was a buffet style and had lots to choose from.We opted for a full English with coffee and toast. The toast was lovely the food was awful. Hash browns were hard the sausage was poor quality and people complained but this was just met with defensive comments from the staff. On the whole we are really upset as we were so looking forward to our holiday at what is a beautiful looking hotel in a great location.

Would stay again, but opt...

Liked: Ideal location for where we wanted to be, staff were lovely especially the bar staff working there hardest on a very hot day so hats off to them,
Disliked: Breakfast unfortunately is my only moan it’s not worth the money unfortunately, no eggs or sausages hash browns were soggy, so for £12.50 each it was a very expensive fruit breakfast

Enjoyed the stay, just wouldn’t...

Liked: Lovely hotel, great staff, very clean and in the perfect location for what we wanted.
Disliked: Breakfast, extremely poor at £15 per person. Shocked it was still £15 for our 8 year old son who had a slice of toast and a rasher of bacon. Only negative part of the stay.

Hot Stay

Liked: Lovely staff, nice old fashioned hotel, nice restaurant.
Disliked: It was in the middle of a heatwave; without AC the room was stuffy, although the small fan in the room helped. Loud pop music in the breakfast room, I requested the staff turn it down and they did this, but really who wants James Blunt at 0800? Or indeed at any time. Parking was £15 a day.
