Exceptional

Liked: Gorgeous place to stay with lovely views of the water and has an amazing breakfast!!
Disliked: Quite remote so would need a car to get around unless planning on just staying in the hotel and do charge £25 a night for dogs

Liked: The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was enough. The location is good its inside forest. To reach here you should hire a car. There is no transportation.
Disliked: The room was old. There were some problems about toilets. Also there were noises in the night and in morning also.

Liked: The staff overall were excellent, very helpful and welcoming.The atmosphere was good and it was overall a delightful place to stay.
Disliked: There were a number of problems:There was no lunch available when we arrived as we arrived 10 mins late. Not even a sandwich was offered, despite our having travelled a considerable distance.Dirty toilet on arrival in our room.Room could have been pre-warmed on such a chilly day, it took hours for it to heat up.No soap tray in shower.No housekeeping on one day until 5.45pm and then only very brief.Each day we had to wash our own teacups etc, using shampoo due to poor housekeeping.Apparently due to staff shortages the bathroom was not cleaned properly during our 4 day stay. Phone in room didn't appear to work Sink in bathroom didn't drain properly Front door very difficult to lock and unlock, which is presumably why it was left unlocked by housekeeping on one occasion; totally unacceptable.Bathroom floor very slipperyNo writing materials providedNo safe providedAnnoying email messages, at least one per day, asking us to provide check-in information, despite our already being there. My meal on the last night was very poor and had to be sent back. I have never done this before.Considering the 4 day stay cost over £1,500, I consider this a very poor performance.

Liked: Easily our favourite hotel in Scotland, all the staff were so friendly and we felt instantly at home on arrival. Dinner and breakfast were incredible, they were able to provide plenty of vegan options too.
