Rather disappointing for the price.

Liked: This is a distinguished old hotel which seems to be trading on its reputation. Our bedroom was small with scuffed woodwork and the bathroom was in need of an upgrade. The public rooms are distinguished and the staff were helpful. The roof terrace was-particularly pleasant. The hotel is very well located. The mezzanine breakfast room was characterless unlike the-rest of the hotel.
Disliked: A major issue was the 400 euro supplement because one of the three nights we stayed was classified by the hotel as an”opera night” because it was one of many nights when there was an opera performance in the Arena. This seemed to us to be an extortionate additional charge.

Liked: The panoramic terrace and lobby bar was great with excellent service. Breakfast choice was good and again excellent service
Disliked: When we were there the temperature was 35 degrees. The air conditioning in the room was inadequate to keep the room cool enough. There was also no tea making facilities in the room .
