Wonderful gem of the nostalgic...

Liked: Love the decor and the restaurant next door was a great value for breakfast.
Disliked: Needed vacuuming under the bed.

Historic lodge. Rustic. Good location....

Liked: Location is good. Central location. Able to walk to good restaurants, large antique mall. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: My room was very small. It was a double, but two large suitcases would not of fit in room.

A good overnight to get...

Liked: The staff was very kind and helpful
Disliked: The room was small. The parking was difficult. The shower was a love hate. It was really strong pressure. Felt good at first but after a few minutes its started to hurt. My 8 and 10 year old didn't stay in long because it hurt too much.

Liked: staff was friendly.
Disliked: there was trash left in the room. in the closet and fridge and the shelves and on the counter. there was a stain on the bed.

Unique hotel with a "historic"...

Liked: We loved the decor! The hotel has a unique style and ambiance. We appreciated the variety of furnishings in the room. The hotel is a cut above, far better than a cheap budget hotel or a cookie-cutter room in a corporate chain. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We appreciated the courtyard parking. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious and filling. The property is just a short drive away from several excellent restaurants for lunch or dinner. For travelers looking for something with a real "historic" feel, this place is a great choice.
Disliked: The only criticism is that the lobby seemed smaller than shown in the pictures and didn't offer any place for private conversation.

The hotel served our purpose.

Disliked: I could have used a cart to bring our things in from our car.

Liked: The breakfast was amazing even for additional price per person. The wait staff was amazing!
Disliked: Parking was confusing and was directed where to park by a homeless man.
