Hot stay in St Louis

Liked: The buffet style breakfast and happy hour meals were a nice surprise. Good quality and substantial. The staff were friendly. Overall, it seemed clean. Housekeeping was offered daily if you wanted it, unusual compared to other hotels we have stayed in, which only offer housekeeping upon request.
Disliked: The beds were a little stiff. We were in a room at the front of the hotel facing an 8 lane busy road. We did not notice noise from adjoining rooms or above us, but road noise was quite loud. Our AC went out during our stay. the only thing they could offer was a box fan. It was very hot in St Louis while we were there. They did remove the charge for the night.

Liked: Location was located near entertainment venue and home of our friend whom we were connecting with for dinner. We had hoped to stay as our family had many years ago, but room was not suitable.
Disliked: Requests made at time of booking accommodation were not met. We needed a room safe from allergy triggers. Immediately upon entering room at check in we noticed the room smelled. We had to leave to attend an event. When we returned, could not stay ten minutes before a family health emergency triggered/caused by feather/down pillows and even stronger overpowering room odor. Room smelled of stale smoke, but even worse was strong odor of mold caused by moisture/water left to grow mold. Specific requests to have smoke free and feather pillow/down bedding were made clear ahead of time. This caused immediate illness/family emergency in both of us. After exposure to this moldy air and the feather pillows, we immediately had to politely check out and drive home in middle of night. Out actual stay in the room was ten minutes while we tried to find a route home without nightly road closures and construction. Just really terrible experience when these histamine triggers causing body wide allergic reaction which can last for hours to many months.

Will not accommodate Disabled people.

Liked: Nothing...I'm disabled they wouldn't accommodate me. All I needed was a bathtub or shower seat.
Disliked: They made us feel awful..I put bathtub when I booked the room plus I called two days before arriving to make sure I was going to be ok.

Liked: It was in a great location. The customer service was accommodating in adjusting the reservation.
Disliked: This location did not have the shower/tub combo in their rooms, per their staff. They informed us that this location had removed all of their tubs. I called prior to booking and spoke with someone (reservationist) at this location that they had shower/tub combo bathrooms; there was no mention of the construction that was going on either. My partner has a medical condition that requires him to use the tub to soak twice a day.
