Driftwood Inn

It was good enough for...

Liked: The location was the best part of the driftwood inn. It’s right on the water. I liked the kitchenette and complimentary coffee.
Disliked: The front door was tricky to open, a fellow guest had to show me how to open the door. The water temperature in the bathroom sink was impossible to regulate, the water was scorching hot, I had to use the bathtub faucet. The fan/heater in the room worked well, BUT was super loud in the night, had to turn it off to sleep, and so I had no heat in the night. The floor seemed to be swept well, but it appeared like it hadn’t been washed with soap and water for a while. The room had a coffee machine, which was nice, but no kettle to boil water, I had to leave the inn to find boiled water. The lights would flicker in the room from time to time when I heard the mini fridge start working, it scared me several times.

Disliked: Hotel needs updates, but renovations were underway

Liked: The size of the room and the bit of view we had
Disliked: Our door didn’t open properly. We left and came back and we were locked out and they booked someone in our room so not sure if we were supposed to be in a better room or not. No one called us either to let us know what happened-we showed up and were locked out of our room

All good. Nice and quiet...

Liked: No breakfast but loved the location which was right on the beach!!
Disliked: They are renovating which it needs. It is a little bit old and a little rundown?!

Liked: Location was great, right on the ocean and in the middle of town well within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and parks

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: The heater sounds like a jet engine. We woke up to discover no water in our room. The poor front desk clerk had to deal with a lot of unhappy customers. When there is construction happening; in some rooms that should be listed on the website warning people who are looking at staying here that there may be inconveniences. No Water is a sanitation issue.Not a good experience.
