Try for a 50?s style...
Liked: It?s a design motel with high end fixtures and style. Great for Instagram memorabilia if you are into that. While it?s daily overpriced especially for a single night that must go toward the pool and large hot tub as it was pristine and beautiful. Also servers, cleaners, staff were all very nice and attentive. Better without kids but we stayed there with 2 and they were accommodating.
Disliked: The yard area is practically inside the parking lot. It?s well designed but some brush or something separating it from the lot would be nice. Pricier than some other options.

Poor customer service
Disliked: arrived with a booking confirmation and was told that third party bookings ?sometimes don?t make it into our system.? we would have been stranded without a room after booking months in advance. the front desk staff said they were fully booked but luckily they had one double queen available. unacceptable response to having a booking in advance

Expensive for what you get...
Liked: Nicely redone (aesthetically) mid-century hotel. Great pool options with plenty of lounger availability - cool and warm pools outside are nice and the hot pool (covered but open-air) is very hot and quiet/private. The on-site restaurant (House of Better) has lots of delicious options, both healthy and indulgent. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the level of service is relatively casual. Great location, walkable to everything downtown Calistoga has to offer.Excellent service and excellent massages at the spa.
Disliked: VERY expensive ($670 + fees, weekend in March) for what ultimately feels like a quick surface-level renovation of an average mid-century hotel. Some rooms (like ours, #115) have no natural light which was a huge bummer. Sound transmits through the cinder-block structure and through the floors and ceilings. Service is friendly and casual but no one is going out of their way to really make you feel special. On-site restaurant is counter-service (that's fine) but staff doesn't seem attentive or especially helpful or knowledgable about the menu. We had to specifically ask a couple times to have our room refreshed by housekeeping - it seemed like it would only be done by request and on their own schedule. I understand the hospitality industry is struggling after two hard years, and everything is getting more expensive. For what we paid, though, I was expecting more - specifically better rooms with more light and more soundproofing, and a bit higher level of service by the staff. If you can swing $700 per night, and are looking for a special experience in Calistoga, maybe consider spending a bit more and truly getting pampered at Solage, just down the street. While pleasant, Dr. Wilkinson's will likely not provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience if that's what you're looking for.

Fun stay.
Liked: Not as lux as Indian Springs but a fine place to stay. Really nice updating of an old standard. Fun 50s look and feel. Loved the hot pools, easy parking and Ev stations. Excellent for family and extremely dog friendly.
Disliked: Not conducive to working on a laptop. Would have been nice to have a larger table ordesk space and chair in the room. Good wifi though.
