clean, friendly service, but a...

Liked: the service was very friendly. every thing was there, all accommodations where available, beds where good and comfortable.
Disliked: the loudness of the traffic in front of the door. it was looking a little worn out. basic comfort, but (compared with other accommodations we stayed in) a bit too pricey for what it was

A quick 1 night stay...

Liked: Jan was really nice and helpful, We couldn't rate the breakfast because we didn't eat there. location right next to train station, Walking distance to Castle was good too,it took about 1/2 hour but was a nice refreshing walk.
Disliked: not having enough time for breakfast.

Poor

Liked: Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Location is great and very close to the port.
Disliked: Building is dated and needs some attention. Overall the room wasn’t clean, and had visible dirt on the floor and walls of the bedrooms and the bathroom. The accommodations definitely don’t mirror the price we paid. I would’ve assumed 80-90 pounds per night, especially with no breakfast included.

This is quaint little apartment...

Liked: The location was perfect for our cruise. Had we been more knowledgeable about how the trains run through London, we could have taken one to this hotel/flat from London, as the Train station is directly across the street. The owner had given me some Taxi numbers to reserve to take us to the Port but after reserving and paying in advance, it did not show up. (Not the owners' fault by any means) BUT - Bonus for us, we were able to walk across the street and take a bus to the Port for a fraction of the cost of the taxi. It was a private bus - not the city bus. The lady that greeted us at the door was very nice and thorough explaining everything about the place. She told us where and how to get to town (within walking distance) and where to go once we got there. Check out is at 1000 but our cruise transfer/taxi was not until 1130. The owner was willing to let us store our luggage on site until our taxi time. This meant that he would have to come back to let us in to get it because he and the management do not stay on site. You need to schedule your check in time so that they are.
Disliked: Our room faced the street, and because we were across the street from the Train Station, it was noisy with traffic all night.STAIRS... be prepared to climb stairs to the lobby and rooms. No elevators. It wasn't terrible, but with luggage and bad knees it was a bit tiring.
