The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were out of cookies when we arrived, but when we checked out I explained that we didn't get any. They really made sure that I would have a nice snack on the road home.
Liked: Great location near restaurants, shopping etc. Very clean.
Disliked: Nothing.

Overall was a decent experience
Liked: Easy and fast check in, nice lobby and bar area. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Bedding seemed old and dingy. Some repairs to things looked very mediocre. Breakfast and items in the “shop” were very expensive. Lack of basic complimentary items.

CLEANING STAFF A JOKE!
Liked: I liked the location of the hotel in relation to eateries, shopping and the interstate. The front desk staff was friendly.
Disliked: The hotel is in need of repair and the cleaning staff does a poor job of cleaning the rooms. I ended up havibg to request a new room because my bathtub had MULTIPLE hairs in it, light switches had visible smudges, tv had visible food-like smudges, snimsl hair on the couch-just general poorly cleaned (even after I went to front desk and asked for room to be cleaned). Moved to a new room...no hair in the tub this time...the hair is in the bed when I pulled back the cover. Also hair stuck to the bathroom counter and highly visible toothpaste smudges on the wall. I lysol-wiped the room myself and hightailed it out of there as soon as morning broke. I was in Dayton to visit my ailing father and coming back to these type of issues with a hotel room made my trip no easier. I've never stayed at a another Doubletree this poorly maintained and I won't choose them on future visits.

It was okay. Would not...
Liked: The hotel room was nice, but could use some updating.
Disliked: The hotel looked like it was closed from the outside. No appeal whatsoever.The on site restaurant was supposed to be open but was not.Breakfast was not included but could be for an extra $15 pp. Ridiculous.Looks like the top floors of the hotel were being renovated, not sure.

To top off this horrible...

Disliked: There was nothing about this property that I liked this time. After driving 300 miles I arrive at my room to find heat blowing straight cold air; so we decided to adjust settings and go to grocery store to prepare for thanksgiving dinner the next day. We get back to room and heat still blowing cold air. My husband and I determined the battery needed to be replaced and then the front office staff brought us the battery and blankets. As the night went on heat did not come on we were so tired so we huddled up together to keep warm in this freezing cold room. The next day; Thanksgiving, we went down to front desk and asked for manager and was told he/she was not in and will not be in until 11AM. We left to meet up with family because this the ultimate family day. When we returned we were told that all they could do was offer another room. We took it moved all our stuff from previous room to new room. When we get in new room heat is working. We start to settle down pull curtains back and OMFG it look like that room was being overtaken by dirty lint balls from Heat blowing right on it. Upon further examination we determined it was com from this box on the floor OMFG. My husband determined it was not life threatening just good old fashioned not properly cleaning that box.I have previously stay at hotel in 2019 and it was very decent; but, this time was from hell.Three points I want addressed…No heat, filthy room and staff training.What I want from DoubleTree by Hilton is My Money Back. This letter will be sent all the way to the top! I should’ve gotten my money back then and a free night. Last the shower head came off on my 18year old daughter while she was turning shower on.Even though we stayed I still think DoubleTree should accommodate me for the filthy , outdated rooms and staff for staff not about customer service. I should have been offered my money back and free rooms for upcoming stays.
