Paid around £270 for 1 night stay not including breakfast. No parking available at hotel and £25 a night for the 14 or so bays. That’s over £300 a night for the hotel. No fridge in the room which was a complimentary upgrade. Another night booked there later in the year, it will be the last. noticed a brand new Premier Inn a few hundred yards away, will use that thereafter.

Liked: It is a nice hotel in a good location.

Liked: Response to faulty heater
Disliked: There was no housekeeping for my room for 2 days in spite of repeated reminders. All I received was a litany of sorrys. When I ran out of towels at night, the front desk said they will be sending towels within the hour. The hour came and went and no one appeared with towels. Then the excuse was that the staff was busy with the diners and I will receive my towels when the staff are free. At 11 p.m., the excuse was that no one was available. The man at the front desk even encouraged me to make a complaint.I was not given a welcome gift (cookie) when I arrived. I was given the excuse that it will be given to me later. Later on, the excuse was that there was no stock. After that, nothing. 5 days later, in the morning when I brought it up again, the staff wanted to give me the cookie on the spot so as to suit their own convenience. As I was going out, I suggest they pass the cookie to the chamber maid who will be cleaning my room. When I came back at night, there was no cookie in my room. This place have fallen flat on it's nose when it comes to delivering the guest experiences of which the Hilton name is famous for.

Disliked: We had room 60 on the 1 st floor the room was small with a big desk in it that ment you had to side step around to get in the bed ?? Also was above a toilet so the hand dryer was annoying

Disliked: Too noisy. Old creeking floorboards and traffic. Hotel is tired and needs a renovation. Not value for money. Paying for the Hilton name but feels like a budget hotel.

Liked: Location was great.Front office staff was friendly and all. Rest of the staff was ok nothing exceptional.Breakfast was ok, some of the staff not great.
Disliked: This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel? With that room? The floor was creaky everywhere, and there were dips near the air conditioner just covered by carpet — kind of dangerous. The carpet was super old. The bathroom was clean but felt more like a 2-star setup. Not worth the price.
