Overall nice hotel

Liked: Great location with parking, staff very helpful and friendly, bar area very nice, and rooms nice.
Disliked: The area of the building we were in was very creaky which is only a problem at night when trying to sleep and the very heavy doors that bang shut

not good value for money

Liked: Nothing Much was good.
Disliked: 1 window inoperative, exessive noise and swearing from utility area below our room, exessive car parking charge, no toilet brush, bathroom light inoperative, breakfast luke warm and probably cooked 2 hours previously.

Not value for money

Liked: Location for walking into YorkReception staff very pleasant- especially Italian young man who checked us out
Disliked: Size of bedroom!! Could just about walk around the bed!! Stayed here several years ago!! Whilst the room was very clean we had no room for getting ready at the same time.

Good

Liked: Good location. Fast check-in. Excellent cafe nearby for breakfast called The Weldrakes. Shower and soap were good.
Disliked: No kettle with complimentary coffee or tea. Bit mean for 4 star hotel. Very thin duvet.

Perfect location in a great...

Liked: The location was perfect, walking distance to the Minster and other significant attractions. The staff were very nice and extremely accommodating.
Disliked: There was no window in the room, only a skylight which had no cover. Also, I was in a back building which had stairs, which thankfully a staff member assisted with my luggage going up, but I had to carry it down.
