Disliked: I prepaid 920 EUR for a non-refundable two-night stay via Booking.com. Upon arrival, the hotel mistakenly blocked an additional 424 EUR. They admitted the error but said it was 'too late' to fix it. The receptionist promised to release the hold after checkout—why not immediately, since it was their mistake? Later, they deflected, saying 'banks are slow with credit card refunds'—but this wasn’t a refund, it was a correction. I made clear I wasn't upset about the mistake itself, but about their failure to resolve it. They refused to reimburse the excess via cash (even subtracting the 40 EUR I owed), offering only polite apologies. No solution, just 'wait for the bank.' I’m appalled and completely dissatisfied."
