We stayed in Cleveland one night, and stayed at this hotel. We checked in and went to our room - when we entered it was clear that housekeeping had not been in there yet, so the front desk moved us to another room promptly, and that room was beautiful! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very large and newly updated with a large tub to take a bath in, all wood floors, microwave, and mini fridge in the room also. The next morning we enjoyed a breakfast buffet, and it was staffed with servers to get you what you need as well. Top rate service all throughout our stay. The staff was very friendly starting with valet, to check in, and check out. Very nice hotel!

Liked: The unique history of the building. It is beautiful for as old as it is.
Disliked: Nothing was bad.

Liked: Very comfortable; staff was most accomodating.
Disliked: Our shuttle did not pick us up after the concert, so we walked back to the hotel.

The rooms do not match the Tudor exterior. While clean they are cold and unwelcoming. Who would take an historical hotel and use that type of decor. Orange, lime green, grey and hard. Wood laminate floor, no rug of any sort. All the lights are on the same circuit so there is either all light or all dark. No clock. You wouldn't want to hang in that room at all. Too bad really.

Liked: Wonderful people work there! Very friendly and the restaurant so good.
Disliked: Uncomfortable, modern room.

I spent one night at this hotel, and the next time I'm in Cleveland, I'll stay there again. The room was really comfortable and very quiet. There was some kind of party going on at the hotel, but once in our room, we heard nothing. I'm also impressed with how clean this hotel is - no dust on the pillows, no mildew in the shower, clean hardwood floors. Really, this is a nice place!

Liked: Friendly staff; clean, comfortable room; great coffee in the lobby.
Disliked: The design of the shower was just - odd. The parking situation is silly - why should I pay $16 a night to park my car at a hotel? And in Cleveland, no less.

Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Davone S, Benton Harbor Fri, 20 July 2012

Liked: The staff was friendly.
Disliked: Not close to the venue at all. Valet was our only option, and the breakfast was pricey. The room was a little pricey for what we got. Expected a private room at least for one of the beds.

I would definitely go back to this hotel. A beautiful hotel is hard to come by for this price.

Liked: The room is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They also have free shuttles!
Disliked: $16 valet is the only parking option.

Overall good experience. For the price of the room, I would have expected breakfast to be included. Mandatory valet was a bit much at $16 per day + tipping. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is a very cool and historic building. A few pleasant pluses in the room - free WIFI; nice shower; comfortable, clean bed; microwave and fridge. My only negatives about my room - no fan/vent in the bathroom and my girlfriend tore up her shin from constantly hitting it on the corner of the bed. I will go back someday. Its in the middle of everything fun.

Liked: Nice room; clean; friendly.
Disliked: Overpriced breakfast; mandatory valet.
