Liked: The staff were friendly the hotel was clean
Disliked: Some of the food served at breakfast was undercooked and the rats running around the grounds

Lovely room large and comfortable....
Liked: The room was a deluxe king, really nice size, bed was amazing so comfortable and big. Good location.
Disliked: Had a bad check in experience, I stupidly left my card in the car (which I know I should of gone to get) but I thought I would try Apple Pay which ended up declining even with the correct funds in my bank. Then the man behind reception (forgot to get his name) proceeded to mention the fact it had declined really loud and obnoxious causing a scene and speaking down to me. I have never felt so small in my life and wouldn’t expect this from the doubletree. I felt like I had to look rich and be wearing a suit to me spoken to correctly and coming from someone who suffers with anxiety I already hated the thought of having to check in on my own while my boyfriend was still at work (it was a surprise for his birthday) the experience I had resulted in me not leaving the room all weekend unless I was with my boyfriend, not even if I needed something from the car.

Should've picked somewhere else
Liked: The staff were great, as they were very helpful. The view was nice, and the location was very close to a bus stop.
Disliked: The hotel was falsely advertised:- hot tub was permanently out of commission - no climate control; we were given a space heater, which is not what we paid for - room service was not 24/7

Overall just a disappointment. It's...
Liked: It served a purpose and I have used this hotel before
Disliked: 1) no towels in spa and spa pool not working. Another guest complained and was rudely dealt with by the hotel staff. 2 the most pale and plastic-tasting scrambled eggs I have ever seen. 3) a hold put on my credit card without prior notification - it's just their policy and I should have read it on the registration card according to the snappy staff member. 4) tv not networked so no screen- mirroring available. 5) poor signage to rooms resulting in a much longer walk than necessary. 6) no soap in bathroom, just another single-use shampoo bottle

I feel cheated for what...
Liked: I have stayed there before and like the setting
Disliked: I booked the suite for 3 nights at over 750PoundsAfter first night i raised a concern to front desk that for a 700-pound suite, i dont want to have to put the kettle on the floor to boil water for tea as there is no place and no extension cable offered.No heating but to be given a small portable oil heater for the cold nights dropping down to 4Degs but unable to use it as have to charge mobile phones therefore only able to do one thing. Very cold and really not worth it…..I raised this again with the reception staff the following day and apart from “sorry to hear” nothing done……..So far I have had no follow up from them after my final report on checking out. It’s like they dont care…. And if they dont care that i am personally axing over 750 pounds then i will no longer go back. Shocking experience and I will be reporting to all my Expats friends who travel not to go there as anything else is better value…
