We came to the Doubletree by Hilton to watch a concert at the next-door arts center. The beds are the best and when you check in you get this awesome freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie. Nice. For this being labeled Doubletree by Hilton I was a surprised at the lack of amenities that are not provided. Really, no microwave or refrigerator? No place to put my left overs from Spencers, their in-house fine dining restaurant. Not only that but when we called a local food establishment to have food delivered we were told they cannot deliver to Hilton. Not sure if this is a industry standard or not.

Liked: Fantastic beds. Superb fresh-made cookies upon arrival. Great location.

Liked: The hotel is very nice and centrally located.
Disliked: Parking is $25 a night and that just doesn’t sit well with me at this price point. In addition, it’s far enough away that it’s a bit of a trek from car to room. There is not a lot of parking spots for unloading, because for some reason the hotel dedicates just as many spots to “reserved.” Breakfast should be included at this price point. It’s ridiculous to charge $22 (I think that’s what it was) per person for a breakfast. Once you add in a car and breakfast for two people you are tacking on an additional $100 per day to stay here. Although it’s a nice place, next time I am going to seek out better value and forego the convenience of the location.
