DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront

Overall stay was delightful. My husband and I were looking forward to some type of continental breakfast and was a little disappointed. We did love the mattress :) and the facility upgrades.

Liked: Updated facility.
Disliked: Bathroom shower design did not keep water from escaping the shower area - had a hard time keeping floor dry and free of water.

My 7th floor room was very clean and comfortable. I was a little disappointed there was no refrigerator but maybe I didn't book the right room. As morning approached, I really could hear a lot of traffic noise and some construction. Overall, a pleasant experience, though.

Liked: Updated and very comfortable room.
Disliked: A good deal of traffic noise.

Board walk will be great when construction/repairs are completed. Location is a plus.

Liked: Love the view of river. Very nice staff. Water Taxi is great way to get across the river.

Disliked: The cleanliness of the hotel. It's very old and rundown. Mold in the bathroom. Paint flaking from tub and tub was grungy. Stains on the carpet in the halls and in the room.

Liked: I like the fact that breakfast was included and the view is amazing
Disliked: The tub was stopped up and nasty. On the booking website it said a fridge and/or microwave would be included but the property doesn't have fridges and microwaves which was important to me while I was booking. Also, it was a pain to get extra towels. But the stay was okay.

Disappointing

Liked: the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: In the photo of the room and specifications, they mentioned the view from the balcony, which was facing the river, and when I arrived, the balcony was facing the parking lot.

Pleasant

Liked: The view and location was perfect, we loved th scene from our balcony.
Disliked: The wait for the elevators was horrible, the mold in the bathroom could have been cleaned, old carpets need to be re done.
