Modern, welcoming, and located right on the St. Johns River, the DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront FL is a stylish escape in the heart of the historic San Marco District. With sweeping water views, an inviting outdoor pool, and on-site dining that ranges from casual to upscale, this hotel offers a relaxing but vibrant base for concert nights in Jacksonville.
You'll be only a short stroll from some of the city’s top cultural attractions and music venues, all while enjoying the comfort of spacious rooms—some with hot tubs and riverfront balconies.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're headed to a show downtown, this hotel puts you in prime position. It’s within easy walking or rideshare distance to major venues and arts centers. Guests love the quiet riverside setting after a loud night, and the hotel’s 24-hour concierge makes it easy to plan your outing. Check-in starts at 4:00 PM—great if you're arriving same-day for an evening show—and the 11:00 AM checkout gives you time to sleep in.

Food and Drink Options

Dining here is music to your taste buds. The hotel has two on-site restaurants: St. John's Provision Company serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ideal for concert-goers who want a bite before or after the show. For something upscale, Ruth’s Chris Steak House offers fine dining in the evening. There’s also Martin Coffee Co. in The Lounge for late-night caffeine or morning-after recovery. While 24/7 room service isn't available, the dining hours cater well to most concert schedules.

Nightlife Options

You're just a short walk or ride from Jacksonville’s riverfront bars and lounges. Sip cocktails with a view or dive into nearby watering holes in the San Marco District. The hotel itself is more chill than party, which means you can enjoy the buzz downtown and retreat to calm when you're done.

Overall stay was delightful. My husband and I were looking forward to some type of continental breakfast and was a little disappointed. We did love the mattress :) and the facility upgrades.

Liked: Updated facility.
Disliked: Bathroom shower design did not keep water from escaping the shower area - had a hard time keeping floor dry and free of water.

Susan, visiting Moran Theater

My 7th floor room was very clean and comfortable. I was a little disappointed there was no refrigerator but maybe I didn't book the right room. As morning approached, I really could hear a lot of traffic noise and some construction. Overall, a pleasant experience, though.

Liked: Updated and very comfortable room.
Disliked: A good deal of traffic noise.

The trip to Jacksonville was...

Liked: Location on riverside was nice.
Disliked: The hotel is obviously renovated and not Hilton standards. The bartender Hunter was very unpleasant to deal with and never should be allowed to do customer service as he was unprofessional and inexperienced. I left an EarPod on bar counter and visited front desk to return to bar and they cleaned the counter and discarded my iPod. Patrons stated it was where I left it and 3 bar withers all claimed they did not clean my area but the glasses I drank from was removed. No integrity in any of them. There is no Frig in rooms as most Hiltons do have. The safe also did not function per the instructions on the door. No one came to clean the room or give fresh towels until we called front desk.

Liked: Great location along the river. Walkable to the bustling Hendricks corridor with cafes.
Disliked: Bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Good enough.

Good

Liked: I had made my reservation for a football game I attended. Location. Perfect. Transportation to the game was by water taxi. Perfect. I would stay again. Front desk staff?? Very good and engaging. They want above and beyond and was appreciated. Thank you to all. Also the restaurant on property for breakfast. Very good and full. Clean.
Disliked: The hotel is aged. Could use a lot of touching up but it wasn't a deal breaker. Rooms not soundproof. Not a deal breaker. The balcony was a relaxing get away. I would see if riverside is available. Other than that it served it's purpose for my stay.
