Hilton Double Tree Disaster!
Liked: The Spa was ok.
Disliked: Firstly the 3pm check in on Boxing Day for 2 overnight stays, was far too late as we discovered the hotel was not full. Our room was freezing and we were told to put the heated air con on for the rest of our stay, and they provided a separate key for us to do this. We tried this but ended up with a radiator from reception as the room was still cold. We were told breakfast on check in was until 11am the following morning and we went to the breakfast room at 10am, only to be told by the restaurant manager that breakfast was finished due to insufficient food and staffing levels. We were refused even a hot drink. This meant we had to go out of the hotel and search for some breakfast quickly, as we had a Spa Day booked from 11.30. We ended up with a Macdonalds, as nowhere else was open. It was a rush to get back to meet our appointment and was particularly stressful. Not a relaxing experience at all

Disliked: The other guests in the hotel were very loud all night, running up and down, smoking and partying. The hotel staff seemed to be aware but didn?t do anything. The holding deposit hasn?t been returned although this may be due to the hotel closing the next day due to lockdown restrictions.
