Beautiful location, but needs renovation
Liked: Quite nice location in front of Hyde Park, the location is superior !
Disliked: The hotel needs renovation to catch up with the reputation of Hilton chain Hotels

Broken aircon ruined stay. Hotel...
Liked: Not much. Staff were pleasant enough but the offer to ask staff to clean room as a priority was ineffectual. Breakfast was the usual buffet but never changed. Room was fine but shower weak and all cramped. Windows did not open when airconditioning failed.
Disliked: Room was given priority for preparation but was still not available until 2:45. London was in a 'heat wave' and the aircon had failed. Temp in room ( over $200) was 25.5 degrees and it was hotter elsewhere. Complaints to staff about the aircon just met with 'we are fixing it now.' It was not fixed before we left after 5 days. Breakfast was. the same buffet every day ($30), and very ordinary too.

Liked: We arrived at Hotel to find that the air conditioning was not working, it was one of the hottest weekend of the year. The other guests we spoke to were expressing that the rooms were unbearable as none of the windows open. We requested to view the room to find out if we could manage the heat, unfortunately the staff informed us we could only see the room if we were booked in? We informed the member of staff we would like to see the room before we booked in due to the circumstances, we were attending an event in Hyde Park the reason why we booked this particular hotel, a member of staff offered us a room at the Hilton Paddington which was not suitable for ourselves due to it was not next to the park or even reasonably close walking distance for example. This was the only alternative the staff gave us. We suggested if there was availability at Hilton Park Lane we would consider paying extra as we have stayed there before, we were informed by the Hotel staff this was not an option.
Disliked: We did not like that the air conditioning was broken on one of the hottest days of the year and the windows do not open. Also their alternative was not suitable for our needs/requirements.

Unhelpful reception. Contradictory information. Empty...
Liked: Hotel selected for location
Disliked: We were assigned room 723 on the top floor despite request for middle floor. At 3pm room was not ready. Accessed room at 4pm. Air Con had not been on (initial thoughts). Room temp 30 degrees. Set AC and left the hotel to enjoy London. Arrived back to room 723, room was still 30 degrees. Advised reception who promised a fan. Fan did not arrive. No sleep night number 1. Advised reception Sunday morning who promised if AC wasn’t fixed they would move us. Returned to hotel later that day to a promise that AC was fixed, if still the same they would provide portable AC unit as hotel couldn’t allocate us another room! Room temp 30 degrees, exactly the same as arrival! Returned to reception. Different receptionist, advised us AC wasn’t working on 6th and 7th floor!! She allocated us a room on the ground floor with functioning AC, offered us 50 GBP discount on night 1 and 2 free breakfast!! We relocated to room 060 (disabled access room) on Sunday evening. I am looking for a full refund for first night.
