Disappointing stay in all aspects

Liked: the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The hotel is very isolated and not in walking distance to any stores (food). The pool closed the day that we arrived and then drained. The grounds are very outdated. the courtyard was very depressing to look at; grass was not well maintained. The carpet felt damp, and there were stains on rug and furniture. Lighting in the room is horrible. The bathroom had hair all in the tub that was dirty and there was blood on the towels ( housekeeping might have cut themself) I saw it on one towel and thought that it could be fiber /stain and then the towel underneath also had the same red stain. I brought it to the attention of the front desk staff (petite female) and she did not appear fazed that there was blood on the towels. I spoke with the female manager the following day and she responded more appropriately and noted it to head of housekeeping. It just felt like a forgotten place that was not child-friendly. The photos online are deceptive.

Rude manager

Liked: Ray at the front desk was pleasant and empathetic and understanding.
Disliked: I was told on the phone that they allowed an early complimentary check-in if there were rooms available that early. I showed up early and the lady at the front desk never asked for my reservation name. She told me they didn't have any rooms available and told me there would have been a charge for early check-in anyway. I returned at 5:00 p.m. only two hear the man at the front desk who was pretty cool. Tell me he can't find my reservation. He called the manager. The manager Katrina showed up and I was explaining to her about the confusion with the early check-in and I guess she got upset and asked me if I wanted to stay at the hotel. I took it as she was suggesting that I could leave if I wanted to. So I told her she did not have to talk to me that way and she turned her back and walked away from me. She later apologized but the damage was already done. Good morning, she offered to take $15 off of my bill. I declined and told her all I needed was her staff to listen and be a little empathetic. When I got to the room there was hair all over one of the pillows in the room. All this happened and I still did not mention the old mop water smell in the lobby. I do not recommend staying at this hotel and also the manager was rude and un-empathetic and condescending.
