The Spotlight on DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Bristol City Centre

Stylish Comfort Steps from Bristol’s Music Scene

Modern, welcoming, and exceptionally located, the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Bristol City Centre blends contemporary design with historic charm. Housed partly in a restored 17th-century glass kiln, this 4-star hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Temple Meads Rail Station—a prime spot for music fans heading to gigs across the city. Expect clean, comfy rooms, rainfall showers, and that signature warm cookie at check-in.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a favorite among fans thanks to its proximity to Bristol’s central venues and easy transport links. Whether you're catching a late gig or hopping on an early train, the location is both convenient and quiet enough for post-show recovery. With a 24-hour gym, late-night room service, and check-out at 12:00 pm, guests can keep flexible schedules without sacrificing comfort.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near nightlife
- Solo travelers attending a dream concert
- Couples turning a show into a weekend getaway
- Fans who want a peaceful, modern room after the noise
- Budget-conscious music lovers who value quality and convenience

Food and Drink Options

The hotel’s restaurant, set inside a historic glass kiln, offers a memorable dining experience. There’s also a relaxed lounge menu with hot and cold options served late, plus 24-hour room service if you're back from a gig and craving a bite. A hearty cooked breakfast is available in the morning—perfect for those needing a slow start after a high-energy night.

Nightlife Options

While there’s no live music on-site, the hotel is a short walk or ride from Bristol’s vibrant nightlife. Expect nearby bars, pubs, and late-night lounges popular with both locals and visitors. The hotel lounge is a great place to unwind with a drink before or after the show.

What People Say

Guests praise the friendly staff, clean and modern rooms, and excellent location for exploring the city. The history-meets-modern design of the restaurant is often mentioned as a highlight, along with the warm cookie welcome and easy access to transport.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that parking can be limited and a bit pricey, and while rooms are quiet, the surrounding area may be busy at peak times. That said, most agree it's a small trade-off for being so close to the action.

The Bottom Line

DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Bristol City Centre is a top pick for concert-goers wanting a stylish, central stay with late-night flexibility and a touch of historic charm.

Good place to stay near...

Liked: Proximity to station and centre.Staff very helpful especially letting us in early and minding our luggage for an hour or two when we checked out.Breakfast was very plentiful and lots of choice.Bed was comfortable and very large.Everything was clean and towels were a good size.
Disliked: No fridge in room to keep water cool.It was a bit tricky to work out how to switch on lights when we went back to room at night.Room was a bit cramped, maybe would have been better suited to king or double bed,not queen. Some of the decor looks a little tired. Why no trays in breakfast room, it needed separate trips to collect drinks cereal bread etc.from the buffet bar.⁶
