DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel At The Entrance To Universal

I was able to get this hotel for $100 a night. Was not the most fancy or elegant but it did the job. Walking distance to the venue.

Liked: Very close to Hard Rock and City Walk.

Liked: Clean; affordable; room service and housekeeping were great.
Disliked: No balconies for a non smoking facility.

Doubletree Hotel is within walking distance of Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Hard Rock Live, and CityWalk. The Florida Mall is also a 15-minute drive from the hotel. It's a great place to stay if you're vacationing on a budget.

Liked: Centrally located near many different things.
Disliked: Parking fee I was not informed of.

Comfortable hotel in a great...

Liked: It was super close to Universal and had a nice pool, great restaurant selection, and self serve laundry
Disliked: The shuttle to Universal had extremely limited hours. The last shuttle leaving the hotel was at 11am and the last one back was at 8:15pm which is prior to BOTH parks closing so if you wanted to go to the parks late around noon and stay till Citywalk closes at midnight you had to Uber both ways which can add up. I picked this hotel for the shuttle and was unable to use it bc it didn’t match my schedule

Liked: Nice place, very closed to Universal, you can buy tickets there and have shuttle to the park
Disliked: Sometimes the smell from dinner place goes to the lobby

Perfect for a weekend at...

Liked: Wonderful for park visitors! The rest is up to the usual Hilton standards: with cosy beds and spacious rooms. Complimentary warm cookies at check-in were delish!!

Liked: Room was very spacious and comfortable. Super conveniently located near Universal & the outlet mall. There's shuttle bus to Universal.
Disliked: The staff who checked us in didn't seem too happy to serve us, she didn't explain some of the check in stuff well, and she didn't give us cookies, which we noticed other guests got.

Disliked: Staff was rude when we asked about the “power outage “ and we were lied to. We were told that ALL hotels in the area would be without power from 12am to 7am and that was not true. We called multiple locations and none of them knew what that was about. Then when we asked if we could get a rate adjustment, we were told no and that we could just get a refund and leave so that’s what we did.
