DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central

We were not too sure what to expect from the outside but were pleasantly surprised by the rooms - spacious and very comfortable. We had not intended to stay for breakfast but changed our minds on arrival. Great night's sleep - beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again - would recommend to anyone looking for extremely good value for money to book Glasgow City Hotel. You will be as pleasantly surprised as we were.

Very clean; staff very helpful. Great central hotel for shops and theatres; would recommend to friends and stay there again.

Disliked: Slight musty smell in the room - perhaps previously a smoking room.

A lovely hotel with helpful front of house staff; best night's sleep in a long time. Breakfast was fabulous and staff very prompt and attentive. Clean and tidy rooms.

Liked: Your reception team at the hotel tried hard to help me get around the diversion but understandably didn’t know the police had stoped people getting back on the motorway.They were very good
Disliked: Was not informed when booking about the bike race taking place in Glasgow which meant I drove around for nearly 2 hrs trying to get to your car park. Eventually I left my car and walked to your hotel having to go and retrieve it at 9pm. I know the Really POOR diversion and the police you have no control over but if I would of been better informed I could of come later after the event or stayed elsewhere.

Good stay and would consider...

Liked: The locations within the train station, nice and clean reception with welcoming staff.Swimming pool was a bonus for the kids.
Disliked: As a family of four, we found a room big enough and spacious. However, an additional single bed would be a bonus.The bathroom was small, and lacked hooks for towelsWe were left with 3 sets of towels.It was clean, although the toilet seat could have been lifted and cleaned better, as it looked like previous guests were sick in it with left evidence.

Liked: Enjoyed our stay, but the last morning we were leaving the boiler was broken so had to have a cold shower. Was broken from before 7am to 10.30 it was fixed just when we was leaving.
Disliked: Na
