Why Concert-goers love it

Though it sits just outside the city center, concert-goers appreciate the quiet location after a night out. With Inverkeithing Rail Station only 2 miles away, you’re a short ride from top venues in Edinburgh—without the city noise when it's time to crash. The free parking is a bonus for drivers, and the generous 12:00 PM checkout means you can sleep in after a late night.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site North Shore Restaurant serves up both international and traditional fare with fresh, local ingredients—ideal for a pre-show dinner or post-gig refuel. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar stays open late, and you’ll find tea, coffee, and a mini-fridge in every room. Breakfast is available on-site, perfect for late risers after a night of music.

Nightlife Options

While the immediate area is more serene than buzzing, you’re a quick train or taxi ride from Edinburgh’s live music hotspots and nightlife. If you’re in the mood for something low-key, enjoy a drink at the on-site bar with views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge.

What People Say

Guests love the stunning views, especially from rooms facing the water. Reviewers often mention the friendly staff, modern amenities, and the peaceful setting as standout features. The free parking and easy access to the city via rail station are also frequently praised by concert-goers.

Areas for Improvement

While it’s not smack in the middle of Edinburgh, the slight commute is worth it if you value quiet nights and picturesque surroundings. A few guests noted that dining options nearby are limited after hours, so it’s best to plan ahead if you're returning late.

The Bottom Line

A scenic, comfortable base with easy city access—DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing is a smart pick for concert-goers who want the best of both worlds: music and a good night’s sleep.

Pleasant

Liked: Beds were very comfortable.Great views of the bridge.
Disliked: Breakfast - c'mon I had better choice and quality at other hotels. After doing a 2 week road trip of Scotland this hotel was disappointing. Best described as a Premium Inn but badged/priced differently.Uninspiring/bland architecture.

A great stay to celebrate...

Liked: Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Room was great bed was huge and very comfortable. Meals in hotel were good as was all the staff.
Disliked: Staff could have smiled a bit more, I know from working in the industry it's not easy. Waiter also served plates over the table rather than coming round. Small things, picky but nothing spoilt our stay.

Did the job for us...

Liked: The room was great, with a fab view, the breakfast was a good spread and tasty, parking was easy, and we had a very late check-in which was no issue at all.
Disliked: The shower head needed descaling as jets were shooting in different directions and the floor flooded badly with water coming out under the bathroom door! The breakfast orange juice was only available when requested whereas other juices were self-[service, which was very weird - we also had to ask for replenishments so someone was not watching what was running out.
