Why Concert-goers love it

Food and Drink Options

The on-site North Shore Restaurant serves up both international and traditional fare with fresh, local ingredients—ideal for a pre-show dinner or post-gig refuel. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar stays open late, and you’ll find tea, coffee, and a mini-fridge in every room. Breakfast is available on-site, perfect for late risers after a night of music.

Nightlife Options

While the immediate area is more serene than buzzing, you’re a quick train or taxi ride from Edinburgh’s live music hotspots and nightlife. If you’re in the mood for something low-key, enjoy a drink at the on-site bar with views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge.

What People Say

Guests love the stunning views, especially from rooms facing the water. Reviewers often mention the friendly staff, modern amenities, and the peaceful setting as standout features. The free parking and easy access to the city via rail station are also frequently praised by concert-goers.

Areas for Improvement

While it’s not smack in the middle of Edinburgh, the slight commute is worth it if you value quiet nights and picturesque surroundings. A few guests noted that dining options nearby are limited after hours, so it’s best to plan ahead if you're returning late.

The Bottom Line

A scenic, comfortable base with easy city access—DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing is a smart pick for concert-goers who want the best of both worlds: music and a good night’s sleep.

Superb

Liked: Liked the view over the Forth from the restaurant.Plenty of free parking.
Disliked: A charging point for electric cars would have been good. The ones at the nearby Park and Ride, to which we were directed, were out of order during our stay. The Doubletree by Hilton at Edinburgh Airport has several charging point.

Reliable quality!

Liked: Best thing? Welcome cookies! 🍪 Room was clean and tidy with comfortable big double bed. We specifically liked the electrical sockets for EU chargers as we didn’t have an adapter.Tasty breakfast and nice choice of delicious options for a la carte dinner in the dining room with splendid view of the bridges. Very good location if you have a rent a car as there is wide free parking lot and good connection with Airport and Edinburgh. There is also a bus station just next to the hotel (20 min ride) to the centre of Edinburgh.Staff is very friendly, cleaning lady made our day with her sense of humour (check the picture).

Average but a good location...

Liked: The location and size of the room and size of the bed were great. Reception looked clean, welcoming and the view from the restaurant was great. Most staff were friendly and the cookies, as always, were delicious!
Disliked: The rooms were a little tired. Chipped wood, the bathroom door scraped the floor and was hard to close and it wasn’t as clean as it should be for the price that we paid. The restaurant food was not good at all but breakfast was very nice. There was a long wait for drinks when we dined in the evening. We actually had to ask for them again after our food had come and even then our water for the table didn’t arrive which we had asked for first.
