Liked: Breakfast excellent with great choice of options.Dinner less options on half board basis.Large front facing room was excellent. Family located in rooms across the corridor
Disliked: It would have been nice if the hotel had made a gesture to acknowledge our golden wedding anniversary (50 years)

Liked: It has great character and a majestic outlook with beautiful grounds and scenery The room upgrades have kept it relevant in ever changing world
Disliked: The 1st floor level has a lovely themed stair entrance to reception etc but the parquet floors in dining room especially and bar and hall areas look very tired and not clean enough. Thought this on last year’s visit and really needs updated e.g, resanded and polished would probably make such a difference and lower paint work the same.

Liked: The hotel is in a beautiful location and setting
Disliked: The hotel is tired just needs some TLC and cleaned properly. The hotel advertises it is pet friendly however pets are restricted from the bar so we went elsewhere with the dog. We had to move room as we were placed beside a generator which kept us awake all night however the staff were great and moved us straightaway.
