Smelly and damp, not what...

Liked: Great location
Disliked: Very sad that Dunblane Hydro had lapsed to its current state. Really disappointed with price for my accommodation. The corridor had ceiling leaks, towels on the floor and smelt badly of damp. Certainly not worth paying for a junior suite!!!!!My partner was cold in evening; on activation of heater, smelt of burning hair, “had to turn off” was so obnoxious. The standard lamp in the suite didn’t work and the lampshade was torn / ripped.To activate the coffee machine or kettle for refreshments is dangerous and alarming. Around 4 inches to plugin electricity.This was a home stay for my partner’s birthday and was clearly discussed for the price.

Seagulls and comfy beds

Liked: The building itself was gorgeous room let it down fair enough we didn't pay a lotSpotlessly clean
Disliked: The bedroom was very dated lighting poor Carpet needs replaced no milk to make coffeeAnd noisy at night

Liked: Friendly,, helpful staff, clean bedrooms, the food was excellent
Disliked: I know the inside of the hotel is non-smoking, maybe a wee smoking area outside to sit would be nice (hidden away). The bit out the front has a beautiful view, the furniture & flooring is tired and dirty, it felt like I was sitting in the car park ( it's also a no smoking zone) the bit round the back ( designated smoking area) feels like your in with the buckets & again in the car park. You are flying the Pride flag stating all are welcome... just not smokers

Hotel needs a deep clean....

Liked: The dinner and breakfast in the Kailyard was excellent. Service and quality of food was first class.
Disliked: Had to move room because of the nesting seagulls to the rear of the Hotel, was moved to another room which faced the same elevation and had the same issue with the seagulls. Given a third room facing the front which was better. Went to use the restrooms at the Cocktail Bar in the morning at breakfast and as you can see from the attached pictures all three toilets were filthy and looked as if hadnt been cleaned since the day before.
