DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry Building Society Arena

Just wish to say that my wife and I were looking forward to this night out at this venue. But when we checked in all things changed - we couldn't check in until late - 7pm. Because we paid by cash they wanted a £50 deposit just in case we broke anthing in the room - good job I had it on me. We went to our room that we booked at a special rate because of the poker tournament - OMG!, box room; bed on the floor - had to lower yourself down to get on it and a 14 inch TV in the room; one very small wardrobe and an ensuite shower and basin that you banged your arms off every time you moved in it. And to top it off, we went for breakfast and the staff ignored us. The kitchen staff said we hadn't paid for breakfast in that room, even though I asked for breakfast when I booked it. We went straight upstairs and packed and checked out. Never had any of this trouble at Stoke at the Quality hotel and got a superb breakfast there at the same price I paid for this dog kennel. Bad experience. Please Nuts Poker, go back to Stoke.

Liked: The rooms were lovely and spacious, I hate football lol but it was nice having a pitch view.The single beds were very large and comfortable.The sliding doors looking over the pitch were slightly left open, you couldn't close them or open them further due to health and safety, interestingly the aircon didn't work.The shower was great, very helpful staff.
Disliked: I find now that you have to pay a parking charge at most hotels, so please read the small print, they make it a little 'vague' so the room cost £ 67 plus 10 so your basically paying £ 77 for the night !!The parking was quite confusing, silly old me, parked in the wrong bay, say I had to move the car, lets hope I haven't incurred a parking penalty !!

Poor, no Ac, wrong bed...

Disliked: No AC working, before booking it said AC, room was wrong I asked for queen bed instead got, 2 single beds, there was no Divet for my guests on there bed room . To u should refund this stay. I won’t stay here again.
