Exceptional

Liked: Location was perfect. Did the ferris wheel and did a boat ride blocks from hotel. The pool vibe was insane. Looking up and seeing buildings around you looks wild. There's a dunkin a block away and a 7 eleven.
Disliked: Bed was too soft sank in.

Disliked: The beds seemed too firm.We had 4 people and the towels were only for 2.We wished there were 4 hooks on the door to hang the towels. The toilet was too low. The floor in the bathroom could have been cleaner.

Disappointing

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Our room was not ready when we arrived and had to wait almost an hour. We were given 2 bottles of water and comped $75 which we didn’t even use. The tub would fill up when we showered and both the bathroom door and hotel door were very loud when opened or closed. We also had to pay $65 per day for parking which totaled $260. We will not be back to that poorly operated and high priced hotel.

Good location to visit Chicago....

Liked: The location is fantastic you can reach the Ohio beach in less than 10 minutes and the Riverwalk in less than 15 minutes. Same for the big buildings one wishes to visit.
Disliked: - The communication. I have sent many emails before coming and even asked booking.com to forward my emails without ever receiving a response!!! I wanted to order a package from New York to wait for me in Chicago and I couldn’t do that until I actually arrived because nobody cared to answer! And this confirms the general attitude of the staff. Maybe it’s a big hotel and maybe there are many many guests… okay but I don’t like to feel like no name/no interest. - The food at the pool is really poor! It says one is not allowed to bring food or beverages - but everybody did, clear enough why! - Other hotels offer bottled water at least one bottle per person per day. Others do have freshwater on every floor. Here you just get one bottle per person for the entire day, that is not a healthy attitude. - As family vacations are offered to much better prices than on booking income, the pool area is (over-) crowded with children jumping in the pool, including the kids of the security guy. We didn’t want to complain, well remembering how it was to be a kid. But then don’t put up big signs that diving in the pool is forbidden.

Liked: The room was great. Extremely comfy beds, very clean and spacious, looked very updated, the view was good even from the lower level we were at. The room looked even better than the photos online. Close to tons of restaurants, shopping and the Broadway show we saw. Free cookies was a nice touch and they were delicious!
Disliked: The only thing we could complain about was the pool not being open, but that was noted when we booked and I'm pretty sure the room was cheaper because of this. Ultimately, we chose to stay here because it seemed like great quality for the price we ended up paying (like I said, likely cheaper than normal: $304/n). We stayed extremely busy for the two days we were there, so the pool wasn't missed much.
