An unpleasant stay

Liked: The rooms have clearly been recently refurbished but we found the mattress poor quality and the air-conditioning utterly useless.The in-room amenities included Yorkshire Tea and real coffee bags, a first!
Disliked: There is a glazed entrance before reaching the lobby from the street that is used as a de facto smoking area. At 5pm on a Saturday we were greeted by red-faced men clutching pints, smoking and making disparaging comments about the guests walking through.On arrival there was only one receptionist. This was repeated at checkout and when leaving/collecting bags - making the process very slow. Only at midnight on Sunday did we see three receptionists!The non sea view rooms look out on a dystopian a/c plant room the size of a ship. This machinery is also very noisy and the hotel room windows (not refurbished) are too thin to mask the noise.Overall, not good enough for the price.
