Disliked: an old fashioned air conditioning heating unit went on with a BOOM a few times each night. I called the front desk who said thats the way it was.

Liked: Very close to where I having surgery. Last time My stay this pasted May was a good experience.
Disliked: The room was not clean. The bath room smelled of urine and feces. We called to have it cleaned but all they did was to spray for the odor. I had also requested a room close to the front of the lobby on the first floor. I had explained I was having surgery. I was not able to walk after my surgery he had put me in room 33. I did go back to the front desk and they put me in room 114 which was a handicap room. Apparently no one goes in there much and it smelled horrible.

It was by far the...
Liked: check in was excellent, room was clean
Disliked: The building "engineer" was trying to "break in" to the room next to ours during the overnight hours. This began around 1:30a and ended by 4:30a when I was able to get in touch w/ front desk staff. He was loud, unprofessional and was in regular street clothes. At one point he was laying on the floor pushing what sounded like a coat hanger under the door. I had no idea he worked for the hotel and was scared he may try to get in our room next. At 4a I tried the front desk one last time before calling 911. I got an answer and was told the guy was an employee. WHAT!?!? He was the hotel engineer and needed to unlock the other guests room. I was happy to know we were safe, but furious to know that the hotel had absolutely no consideration or value for US in the room next door. Very poor decision making, the other guest should have been made to wait until at least 5a ( with electronic door entry, I'm not sure I believe the story). We were refunded 50% of our stay & front desk was very apologetic and kind when we checked out at 6a. We expected to #1 feel safe and #2 to get some sleep that night. Sadly, I'm not sure I will ever stay at a DoubleTree again.
