Not the quality we experienced...

Liked: This is the second time we stay at this property and it remains very well located in relation to what we usually do in Berlin. Walking distance to the center of town and a subway line. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: I understand reducing staff to reduce costs. Nonetheless, it was a bit hard to find someone to check in upon our arrival. The most annoying part was the fact that our room was never turned down while we stayed there. Even if we are not generally messy people, it would have been nice to return to a made bed. There was a horrible humidity and sewer smell coming from the bathroom which is the reason why we were so displeased with our stay. We would have mentioned something to the hotel staff but as I mentioned before, they were nowhere to be found.

Liked: Quiet, yet central location.
Disliked: This place has been turned into a home for refugees. I have been there on a previous trip, and it has changed completely. The fact there is no breakfast doesn’t bother me, you find plenty of options close by. But: it’s dirty, there is strong smell, it’s no longer maintained appropriately. In case you have some need for assistance, nobody is available prior to 3pm, not even by phone. The room had lights at ceiling only, no pictures on the wall, no phone, hair dryer is out of order. And there was no information before booking was completed.

Liked: Location
Disliked: I booked this hotel because of sauna and fitness. The receptionist told me at the beginning that they don't have any!? Breakfast which was advertised, was also not available. After tree days I asked for a room service but except for changing towels, they cleaned nothing. Plus in the hotel are from some reason accommodated migrants with children so it is very loudly at 12 pm as well as at 6 am. This could be hardly a 3* hotel and is definitely not a 4*. Terrible experience

It's okay if you're not...

Liked: Big rooms, high ceilings, large windows, strong water pressure. Free wifi, free mini bar(However, the types of drinks are random and poor. In the past, there were at least six drinks and they were refilled every day, but now, in my case, I only had water, juice, and zero coke, no refilled.)
Disliked: No employees can be found from till 3 p.m. If the key breaks in the morning, you can't get any help. There is no contact or guidance at the reception. So I called the Dormero homepage. They told me "I" need to look for hotel staff, and hung up. In a little while someone showed up from somewhere and I could finally get help. I was kindly helped by the female staff.Actually I stayed at this hotel every year before Covid when there was a cat (named Kiki I guess?). At that time, the staff was always there and everyone was kind. I was disappointed at the hotel I visited after a long time.
