Excelent.

Liked: We loved the balcony with an amazing vieuw of the dome. We found working with codes instead of key(cards) very convenient. The staff was super friendly and extreemly helpfull.
Disliked: the shower door didnt close all the way :(

Unsafe for single female traveller

Liked: So when I stood at the self-check-in door and my name wasn't recognised, and all the Booking.com reservation numbers and pins didn't work, I was pleased that when I found the hotel phone number on the email the lady I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. While there was crime going on beside me, it was reassuring that she was there on the end of the phone.
Disliked: As a single female traveller I was unnerved by the homeless and drunks around the doorway while I was trying to pay the local tax and check in. There isn't a reception so it is a load of codes but my name wasn't recognised and the Booking.com reservation number didn't work.I witnessed a drug deal outside prior to checking in so the whole numbers and pin codes stressed me out. Once in the room there were 3 rooms to each landing and 2 men were loudly arguing behind one of the doors on my landing. I didn't feel safe so I phoned the Ibis to check they had a real reception then left. There was no point staying in this hotel, if I don't feel safe I won't sleep.That said, a couple would probably feel ok here.There was no a/c only a fan and the windows let insects in so needed to remain closed during the night.

Cosy hotel room next to...

Liked: I loved the bedroom. It was super small but there was everything I needed. A kettle, a fridge, a TV, Wifi, and even my personal balcony. It felt very cosy! Also, it’s really close to the main station and to the cathedral.
Disliked: The registration was a bit confusing. Here’s what I wish I knew before: you cannot enter before 3PM. Basically, everything happens digitally on a machine. You don’t get any info (no room number, no code to enter) before that hour. At 3PM you can use the machine and it will give you a code. I think it’s possible to leave your bags somewhere but I couldn’t find it so I had to pay for a luggage consignment somewhere else until I was able to get in my room. There are no elevators, and the sound isolation is not amazing. But apart from that I had a great time in this hotel :)
