Terrible, do not stay here!

Disliked: I paid for 1 night but the room code didn’t work, I was stuck outside in the freezing cold at night. I called the hotel and the man said to go back to the check in machine and get a new code, I did it many times and it just gave me the same code. He said he couldn’t help me and there is nothing he could do. Finally after nearly an hour, I had no choice but to leave and walk around Cologne and find a new hotel for the night because the hotel had no staff that could get me a new room code that worked. It was so scary! I called booking.com for help and a refund and I called the hotel the next day. They just said the code should have been fine. It clearly wasn’t fine and just left me freezing at 1:30-02:30. I hope I get a refund for this hotel because it cost me so much and the hotel phone number was useless and was just some guy that didn’t know how to do anything. Definitely do not stay here if you have to do the self check in! I would have thought when the hotel knew that I couldn’t get in and I spoke to them on the phone many times it wouldn’t be difficult to get an apology and a refund but I know it will be just because of their uninterested and uncaring attitude. I hope no one else falls victim to this.

Disliked: The self check in machine was broken. Took us 40 minutes to get in, until Alina came and fixed the machine up. The shower was TINY. Less than a square meter of shower space is NOT GOOD.
