Discovery Inn

I think this hotel was overpriced. I was expecting a lot higher quality of a room for spending almost 90 bucks for one nights stay - disappointed.

Not my favorite place to...

Liked: Conveniently located off the freeway and centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley.
Disliked: Upon arrival, there were about 30 police cars with lights going on the property and the surrounding areas. I understand it’s not the properties fault this happened, but it’s not something nice to roll into in the middle of the night for initial stay. There were a few uncleanly stains in the room, and when I had requested more towels for the room, since it wasn’t stocked for the amount of people I had booked the room for, I was questioned about it. The gentleman at the desk at check-in initially was quick and friendly, especially with the situation going on, and the younger gentleman at checkout was very friendly and accommodating.

Liked: Flexible check-in, cheap stay.
Disliked: Room was not very clean. Floor wasn’t swept and the shower was dirty. Soap from the previous guest was still out. Homeless people were loitering on property most night. Felt unsafe going into room sometimes.

Stay was good

Liked: We stayed in room 201. Room needed repairs. Holes in walls. Tub faucet dripped
Disliked: Would have liked continental breakfast
