Superb

Great location but disappointed with...

Liked: The location was ideal, set on the river but a stones throw from the centre.
Disliked: One of our rooms (4) was lovely however room 11 was far from it. Tucked at the end of a long and, quite frankly, dingy corridor this double room was very noisy. We were disturbed by the noise at the bins (outside our bathroom window) which, amongst other things, sounded like bottles being emptied throughout the evening and by delivery vans for the kitchen first thing in the morning. The room was far too small for two adults and when mentioned to reception we were told it was really only suitable for one adult which was not indicated when booking. Sadly breakfast was also lacking, i.e. solid poached eggs, undercooked pancakes, and even when uneaten plates were cleared no one asked how the food was. I can't comment on other meals as we weren't brave enough to try. The reception staff seemed disinterested in our feedback.

Disliked: Hard to say anything could be better but if pressed I’m not a fan of long life orange juice for breakfast. But only saying that because you asked. How about coffee bags instead of instant coffee in the rooms?

A little dated but great...

Liked: Fantastic location right next to the river.
Disliked: Mr first floor room overlooked the hotel garden, which was lovely, but because of that I would have liked a net curtain at the bedroom window for privacy. The hairdryer provided was tiny and very basic. For the price of the room I would have expected a better standard of hairdryer.

Liked: Idyllic location which the sunny weather helped with.
Disliked: Hotel guest parking did not take priority.

Superb

Liked: Great location beside the river. Handy for exploring the city. Surprisingly quiet for a city hotel
Disliked: Bed was a little past its time. My fried egg at breakfast was overdone.
