Historic Hotel in a stunning...

Liked: Fantastic location right on the Severn River.Beautiful gardens to enjoy a drink and the views.
Disliked: Getting a car park can be difficult on weekends.

Good

Liked: The breakfast was great, they offer vegan pancakes which were really good, and they took my food allergy seriously.
Disliked: My bedroom was so hot that I could not sleep, even with the electric fan on full blast and the window open. I had to go to reception at 4am to complain about the heat, I was moved to another room which was better, but I didn't get much sleep at all.

Good,could easily be made even...

Liked: Location,architecturally impressive
Disliked: The room felt very poky, with the most depressing “view “ from a room I’ve ever experienced anywhere.Overpowering smell of disinfectant when I first arrived, though this gradually disippated when the window was left open. Breakfast was good, though it would have been nice to have seen more of the staff, and not to have had to ask for a coffee refill.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel is in a perfect location right on the river, the hotel has a beautiful beer garden, fabulous bar and restaurant, fabulous breakfast, we used the hotel as a based for a weekend long extended family celebration, we are 15 people, the hotel treated us like we were a member of the family. Diglis is a beautiful old English hotel, the building and everything about it, none of the stuffiness of a hotel from a chain of hotels. Thanks for a wonderful weekend, and we will come back.

An all round package of...

Liked: This was an all round package of excellence - the quality of the food at diiner and breakfast; the cleanliness of the surroundings and room and finally, it's fantastic location on the river, which provided so many options of pleasant scenic walks.
Disliked: Nothing

This meant our family reunion...

Liked: This well run family hotel is sited overlooking the Severn and has lovely gardens where you can sit out and enjoy the views. They give you a superb breakfast and make a fine eggs benedict/eggs royale. The staff were warm, helpful and welcoming. The hotel also adapted mid stay to some room needs in a very positive way. We are returning which perhaps confirms all this
Disliked: We are rather elderly and found the shower controls heavy and difficult to use. Parking is a little restricted but this is a very old site mid city and there is little they can do about it.
