Good stay

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable though tiny for a single room. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room. Helpful staff whom you can only reach on the phone as there is no reception staff. Convenient place to stay for a short visit - 2 -3 days.
Disliked: No place in the shower stall for soap and loofah. A suggestion is to provide an attached shelf in the shower stall. Steps are steep so ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issues.

Liked: Clean and comfy. Located well for the centre.
Disliked: Very noisy at night. Front door banging all night ... people coming and going all night long. Loud voices.

Liked: Good location a short walk into the centre of York but it is also on 3 bus runs so a bus is coming every 10 minutes or so and no need to purchase tickets just tap on and off with contactless payment If you are travelling for a long time like us there is a laundrette just across the street and an off licence shop on the corner
Disliked: The layout of the facilities were a little different with the shower beside the bed and the property rule not allowing you to eat or drink in your room just in case you drop something on the bedding not great when you are trying to budget travel and want an easy cheap meal
