Devoncove Hotel Glasgow

Lovely hotel; great value; pleasant staff and very helpful; close to all areas of interest.

Liked: Great service from staff - quick check in.
Disliked: Very thin walls in rooms - can hear everything next door.

Can't praise the staff enough. We arrived and were running late to get to an appointment and they couldn't have been more helpful. The staff at breakfast were also very pleasant and helpful.

Good location, not a good...

Liked: Great location in the west end of Glasgow, well connected by bus. Bed is comfortable and the room was clean, though the hotel could do with some updating of their decor and carpets, but a good night sleep.
Disliked: I chose this hotel because some of the reviews mentioned a great breakfast. However, sadly I was disappointed. I imagine it could be okay if you like cooked breakfast like sausage and eggs, though I didn’t try that. Usually a room with buffet breakfast included also has a decent continental offer. Best Western did not have this: it had what looked like small, shop-bought pancakes, some yogurts and cereal, and uncut apples and tangerines. A few slices of ham and shop-minisize cheese portions wrapped in plastic. No croissants or other baked goods, no fresh fruit salad, nothing but syrup to go with those tiny, disappointing pancakes. As a vegetarian looking for a continental breakfast, £12 felt like an extortionate price for what was on offer.

Beautiful stay

Liked: The room was lovely, clean and tidy. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was really good.The hotel is also very close to the centre.
Disliked: There isn't a designated parking area for the hotel users, although street parking is available.
