Exceptional

Terrible experience and never again.

Liked: The staff were absolutely lovely. They were warm, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. They deserve zero blame for what went wrong.
Disliked: The experience staying here was unfortunately quite poor.The room was extremely difficult to reach. After taking the lift, it took nearly five minutes walking through a very hot and humid corridor with no ventilation. Once we arrived, the room had no fan, no bug net, and no way to cool down or get fresh air.The bed was visibly dirty and worn out. It had structural damage underneath and felt unstable to sleep on.There was no soap or handwash in the bathroom.The wardrobe had no coat hangers at all, making it impossible to hang any clothes.There were plastic bags left in the corner of the room and visible damage to the room entrance which made the space feel run down.My wife became unwell during the stay and I genuinely believe the lack of ventilation and poor hygiene in the room contributed to this.It felt more like a neglected storage unit than a proper guest room. We were deeply disappointed and regret booking this stay.

Superb

Basic but cheap and clean.

Liked: Room was clean, price good, easy to book, check in staff friendly. Location was good - plenty of eateries nearby and not too far out from city.
Disliked: Bed was only 3/4 size which hadn't been clear before booking.Room was too hot and window couldn't be opened far (on 5th floor so presumably for safety).Couldn't access reception lobby from stairs so forced to use lift. Prefer stairs because partner has phobia and for fitness purposes.Only one keycard available.Parking was tricky as nearby street parking was mostly residents only and we can't use multistorey carparks as van is too high,

Relly great location, comfy bed...

Liked: Close to shops and tram
Disliked: The room was far too hot. The heating couldn’t be changed , the control panel was not working

Basic but all you need

Liked: Clean, tidy, great location on a tram stop, accommodation is basic but it was just somewhere to sleep so met its purpose.

Very good location. Good value...

Liked: Very good location. Within walking distance of city centre. Tram stop for airport 5 mins walk.
Disliked: Doors banging during the night.

Liked: Comfy bed, good shower, warm duvet, very clean
Disliked: Check in procedure ... I was asked for photo Id, offered senior travel pass but told it had to be passport or driving license, situation eventually resolved by manager intervention but the possibility of not being able to stay was raisedI had proof of booking, payment receipt, a document with my name and photo, credit and debit cards ... all that should be enough to check in with no problems Destiny Student House - make your procedures easier!!!!!

Okay stay at a nice...

Liked: The location ( a bit far from town but in a lovely location with tram stop, lots of shops and bars as well as supermarkets), the kitchen sharing and the ammenities provided (like coffee, shampoo and even ear plugs).
Disliked: The bed was incredibly small for two adults (even though I must say it is stated in the description), it was pretty hot inside the room, there was no room cleaning and not enough dust bin cleaning. Also it was a bit pricey for what you get.
