Liked: Quite location in the university campus area, only 10min walk to the old town. Super-nice staff and super-complete breakfast

Liked: Plattenhof is a decent hotel I must say...its location is good...one can walk to it from the main train station..takes around 15-20mins or take a tram no. 6 going towards zoo and get off at 4th station...its 1min walk from the bus stop. We walked around the place and saw the university area and a little further down is the old city...just loved it. Hotel has a resturant but its closed on weekends and holidays and so are all the other around the hotel so basically if u r staying here over the weekend, make sure to eat in the city before returning. No coffee shops or bakeries etc are nearby so it was difficult for us as it was weekend but then we booked the bf in hotel itself. However there is the small market called at walking distance...one can get some stuff from there or order via ubereats which we did one night. The breakfast at the hotel is fine but a little expensive and one has to make their own eggs...found it interesting and weird at the same time

Liked: The breakfast was amazing and the staff were really helpful with all our questions regarding the hotel and the city.
Disliked: Reception was not open 24hr, and if you plan on walking to the city centre, the hotel is uphill when returning. Nevertheless, there is very good public transport connection which you can use instead.
