The Spotlight on Desert Rose Resort

Peaceful Suites Just Steps from the Las Vegas Strip

Modern, casual, and just under two blocks from the energy of the Las Vegas Strip, Desert Rose Resort is the perfect balance of location and serenity. Without the distraction of a casino on-site, this all-suite resort offers a relaxing retreat with a heated outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees, and comfortable, apartment-style accommodations—including full kitchens and private balconies.

Why Concert-goers love it

This resort is a favorite for concert-goers who want to be close to the Strip’s top venues without being caught in the 24/7 buzz. You’re just minutes from major performance spots and can easily grab a rideshare or walk to nearby shows. After the music ends, come back to a quieter atmosphere, ideal for recharging before the next event. With a 4:00 PM check-in and 10:00 AM check-out, there's enough flexibility for most travel schedules.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking to share a suite and split costs
- Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime show
- Couples planning a weekend music getaway
- Fans needing downtime after a high-energy night
- Budget-conscious travelers who want more space and amenities for their money

Food and Drink Options

Desert Rose Resort’s new Ellington’s Bar and Grill serves cocktails and light bites in a laid-back setting—perfect for a post-show recap. For late-night cravings, enjoy your fully equipped kitchen or head to nearby eateries just a short walk away. There’s also a BBQ area on-site for casual group meals, and a convenience store if you need snacks or drinks without leaving the property.

Nightlife Options

While the resort itself doesn’t host live music, you’re close enough to the Strip to easily explore nearby bars, lounges, and clubs, then retreat to peace and quiet when you're done. Ellington’s offers a more chill atmosphere with cocktails for those who prefer to wind down.

What People Say

Guests love the spacious suites and the ability to cook their own meals, especially after a long night out. Many highlight the quiet, non-casino vibe as a big plus in Vegas. The pool area gets praise for its relaxing layout, and the location earns high marks for being both central and peaceful.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the decor is slightly dated, and the 10:00 AM check-out can feel early for late-night revelers. However, the helpful staff and overall value tend to make up for it.

The Bottom Line

If you’re heading to a concert in Vegas and want space to relax without casino chaos, Desert Rose Resort hits all the right notes.

Comfortable, Well-Stocked, and Perfect for...

Liked: My family stayed at Desert Rose Resort from July 24–28, 2025, and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and convenient everything was. We booked a king room with a full kitchen, which came fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and serve meals—including Tupperware for storing leftovers (a thoughtful touch you don’t often see in hotel kitchens). The suite also had a dining area and a spacious living room with a pull-out couch—my 6’2” teenager slept on it comfortably, which says a lot! The one bathroom is located within the bedroom, which might be a concern for some, but it worked well for our family of three. The layout is smart: the shower and toilet are separate from the vanity, allowing multiple people to get ready at the same time.I especially loved the pool area. While I didn’t swim myself, it was clear that other families were having a great time. I enjoyed lounging poolside and ordering food from the bar (the menu has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and everything I tried was really good!).Location-wise, it’s fantastic—walking distance to MGM Grand, close to the airport, and right near a gas station, which made returning our rental car super easy. The gym was modern and well-equipped, and the laundry room was a nice bonus for washing clothes before heading home.Overall, a great stay! Comfortable, convenient, and family-friendly—I would absolutely recommend Desert Rose Resort and stay again.

Family had a great time,...

Liked: Plenty of space for a family of 6. The living room couch/pull-out bed was comfortable. Good view of the pool.
Disliked: 1. I wasn't informed that there would be a $250 incident fee (should something break or charges be made). 2. Master bedroom bathroom had an odor that wouldn't go away, like the p-trap (plumbing) wasn't on right. A bit of sewer smell, but not strong.
