I can't believe a hotel this size doesn't have a few designated smoking rooms for the smoking population. The room I reserved cost a total of $195.00. When I checked out, I was given a receipt for valet parking for $20.14. I was totally shocked. I could not believe I just spent $195 on a room that was not $195 quality and I get charged for valet parking. Every hotel I have ever stayed at has complimentary valet parking. I could have parked at the Des Moines airport all week and not spent on parking what I did at the Marriott. This was very disappointing and chances are I will not stay at this Marriott again in the future.

Liked: Hotel is in a perfect spot for walking distance to a lot of places!! very clean and people friendly!!! Like the valet parking
Disliked: Only issues we didn’t like was that there was no microwave and the toilet didn’t flash properly had to hold handle down or flush twice!!

Disliked: I had a clog in my sink on night one. I called to have it serviced and the hotel staff arrived right asni was leaving for dinner/an event. When I got back it was late. The bathroom was trashed. A plunger in the sink, sink torn apart and a note that it couldn't be fixed. The sink and toilet were filthy. Dirty towels were everywhere.
