Built in the style of a Manor House making it one of the most distinctive hotels in Northumberland. Overlooking the Derwent Valley this beautiful hotel is located within easy reach of Newcastle and Durham. Room, grounds and meal was...

Liked: Room, restaurant, grounds
Disliked: The pool and changing rooms were old, and very dirty. Wouldn’t use them again. Staff in the restaurant didn’t get our drinks right, then didn’t take the money off the bill for them drinks until we had to say something.

Andrew enjoyable stay which met...

Liked: The hotel was very clean. The facilities were good ie pool and gym facility
Disliked: The breakfast was a bit basic ie not much choice of nice breads etc

Liked: We have stayed here before, the facilities are great for us and the relatively recent refurbishment adds to the whole experience

A pleasant stay in a...

Liked: The decor was stylish . The bed was amazing . The food was tasty .
Disliked: The spa /swimming area needs an update, I didn't feel this was reflected in the price . Our plates were not cleared away when our main course arrived .
