Not great - not awful....

Liked: Front of house staff was nice - everyone else seemed a little off
Disliked: Super expensive for what you get. Same with food and drinks in the bar. Very expensive. Most of bath towels stained and frayed. Chair in room was disgusting and had white stains everywhere. Not the worse but certainly not the best. Other colleagues stayed more central for cheaper and had a much nicer experience. Feel most of the staff need training - no smiles or hellos all walking about looking glum. Asked for a robe had to pay for it even though I’d just paid £90 for a spa thing for my partner. £4.00 for a Luke warm filter coffee which was undrinkable. Seeing loads of Deliveroo people coming in and out which I guess shows what people think of the food and the price here.

Great staff but a rather...

Liked: Staff fantastic. Good location, shame about the roadworks.
Disliked: Very tired rooms. Black mould in the showers, sticky floors in the bathroom, stained/ripped chairs and stained carpet, warm rooms with no air con just two floor standing fans, bedding felt rough against the skin, TV remote not working, mini fridge not cold, not what we’ve come to expect from a Marriott. We picked this hotel specifically as EV charging was listed. There is no EV charging!!! This made our onward journey to my nephews wedding quite stressful as we needed to charge our fully electric car to get there and this caused a large delay.

Lovely comfortable hotel short drive...

Liked: Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom had clearly just been renovated and was very nice with plenty of good quality toiletries supplied. Bed was very comfortable and nice touch having complimentary bottles of water and tea/coffee as well as take away cups which I have never seen before in a hotel but is such a good idea!Breakfast was really good. Fantastic choice of options and very good quality. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long time. Very friendly staff at breakfast too. In fact all the staff we had contact with during our stay were very friendly and helpful. Definitely makes a difference having smiley, friendly staff! If we visit Nottingham again, I would most definitely stay here again.
