Sonesta Hotel Grand Rapids Airport

It's not a word, but that's how I describe my stay, fantabulous! All the employees were very nice and helpful. My room was both clean and cozy, the hotel was walking distance to the mall, the movie theater and several great restaurants. Plus, in the parking lot is a Starbucks and across the street is the best doughnut shop ever! There is no doubt that when I come back to Grand Rapids I'm staying at the Ramada Inn.

Disliked: A little slow with check in.

Disliked: Housekeeping was pushy - knocked the first time at 8:30am. 15 minutes later then just tried to walk in.

We didn't spend much time in our room. It was comfortable. We did like that it was connected to the "Old Chicago" Bar & Grill as it was pouring outside and didn't want to venture out for food. The pizza was AMAZING!

Disliked: AC unit in our room rattled all night long

Disliked: Wish breakfast was included, for almost $600 for just the weekend it would’ve been nice.

Disliked: First we went down for dinner when the Cafe opened around 530 ( 4 adults) they had enough hamburger meat for 2 burgers. So 2 of us ordered a crispy chicken sandwich turned out they didn't have those either. Then the following day we where going to the pool and they had closed it 4 hrs for cleaning. The fridge didn't work in the room either.

Disliked: There were stains on everything, everywhere. Cobwebs in every corner! The lights are so dim you can barely see after dark with EVERY light on. I'm assuming so that you can't see the filth!Not a great crowd whatsoever

Family suite fraud!

Liked: The staff at the front desk was very helpful.
Disliked: The room was not at all as the pictures and description provided from booking.The family room does not have a sitting area whatsoever, the room is a basic room with two queen beds and another room connected with two twins.The carpet in the room looks like it's been there 50 years as well as the furniture.The pool and hot tub are extremely small.The rooms connect to the pool area, tons of parents leaving their kids in the pool unattended. Definitely will NOT be returning

Stay in your rooms and...

Liked: We took our family to the pool area during our stay, and these ladies started yelling and swearing at each other about who was allowed in the hot tub. Made me and my partner uncomfortable as they were yelling at each other with us in between. Didn't seem like a safe environment for families/children. Unless you don't mind woman yelling, swearing and calling each other crackheads over a hot tub. Everything else was fine.

Wonderful stay, would love to...

Liked: It was wonderful. Was nervous about staying here with some of the reviews, but the room was clean and perfect size for the 4 adults and baby we had. The staff was very accommodating, if we asked for something we got it. Pool and hot tub were very nice just wish the pool was a couple feet deeper and that the water slide wasn't permanently closed as we were excited to try it. But other than that our stay was wonderful and I don't think any of us had any real complaints.

Liked: No soap in bathroom. Slide is a huge liability they don't make sure kids ain't climbing up and when told they ignored it.
