Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton Centre Suites

Nice hotel; handy - being close the mall is a bonus. 3 minute walk to Rogers Place

Liked: We were treated very well and even got an upgraded room.
Disliked: It is getting a bit dated but when they renovate the price will go up for sure.

We stayed in a renovated suite. It was comfortable and quiet.

Liked: The lady at reception that checked us in went above and beyond the call of duty to upgrade us to a different room.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to other people needing to stay in Edmonton.

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We found it hard to enter the hotel because of the construction nearby.

Room was mostly to be expected though rated on the lower end of that. Air conditioning fans did not work and there were loud buzzes, hums, and squeaks in the room all night making it hard to sleep. Perhaps the most disappointing part was when I went to take a shower the next morning and leave for the airport, I found that there was no water to be had and what was trickling out was brown and discolored. It turns out that they were doing routine maintenance, OK. My issues was the complete lack of warning of which they were doing it as well as then having them send me on a wild goose chase around the hotel frantically trying to find a place with water so I could get ready to fly to my job in the USA. After not finding anything I finally went to the front desk and had to beg them to give me bottles of water so I could go back up and "shower" with that. All this and they barely could understand why this would be an issue for a guest and seemed unphased at my situation. I had to also then ask for a voucher to pay for my trip to the airport as the pre paid taxi I had already paid for had expired and left in the time period I was trying to fix the water issue. With reluctance, they finally did that. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as there are far too many other choices in the area and you don't need waste your time or money with this one.

Liked: Larger, spacious rooms.
Disliked: Hotel was dirty overall and rated a 2.5 in broad standards.
