Disappointing
Disliked: Terrible experience. Despite requesting it multiple times, my room was never cleaned. The blonde woman at reception was shockingly rude and dismissive — zero professionalism. Definitely not what I expect from a Marriott-branded hotel. Won’t be back.

Liked: Truly Disappointing Stay – No AC, No Accountability, No RefundRating: ★☆☆☆☆
Disliked: Stayed: June 19–21, 2025Reservation: #4998.043.762We booked a room at Delta Hotels Edinburgh during a heatwave, expecting basic comfort and customer care from a Marriott brand. Instead, we experienced the worst hotel stay in years:•Room Assigned Without Working Air Conditioning: Staff were fully aware of a broken AC yet still placed us in the room.•Alternative Options Ignored: We later learned other rooms with working air conditioning were available, but no one offered a change or assistance.•Temporary Fix Was a Joke: Staff left us with a useless portable unit that had no instructions and barely cooled the room.•No Sleep, No Comfort: We endured an unbearably hot and miserable night. Our trip was ruined by lack of sleep and discomfort.•Unacceptable Customer Service: After complaining multiple times and following up for weeks, we were only offered 20,000 Bonvoy points—far less than the partial refund we requested and repeatedly rejected.•No Proper Response or Resolution: Emails went unanswered. No one at Marriott has taken this seriously or shown any interest in resolving the situation.

Some days in Edinburgh
Liked: The Hotel close to the airport, just one stop with the airlink bus service. The Hotel was high quality; it reaches the four stars. The room was big for three people (two double bads), included the TV with big screen, and bathtub. The Hotel has many extra services, for example there is drinking fountain, where can fulfil the bottles. We saw the gym, but we didn’t have time for it. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they answered our all questions.
Disliked: The Hotel is far from the city centre. From the Hotel to the downtown the bus trip is around 30-45 minutes, which was very slowly. The Hotel was extra, but a little bit worn out, it's time to renovate. The room was nice, but the air conditioner was too noise and old, therefore we used the window. In the room do not have European power outlet, just USB-A plug.

Disliked: Initial room allocated did not have air con that was functional apart from blowing hot air, I understand that with being one of the hottest spells for some time that it would be difficult but even though staff knew the system wasn't working they did not have the decency to pass that on at check, only finding out when we requested to move room later in evening. Requested a fan to be allocated top room and had to make the same request between 2 and 3 hours later, poor service I thought.

Perfect family Hotel , will...
Liked: The hotel has a friendly welcoming atmosphere Breakfast was wonderful , staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The pool and spa facilities fantastic. Room was clean and spacious for a family of four. I was dubious at first with mix reviews online .. but I wasn’t at all disappointed

Liked: The only thing I liked about this hotel was the morning receptionist (morning 13.07.2025), who was at least a little interested and tried to solve our problems during the accommodation. The overall impression of the rooms and the stay was absolutely ruined by the staff's behavior during our check-in.
Disliked: When we arrived at the hotel (12.07.2025, approx. 17:20), according to the receptionist, only one room out of two reserved was ready. However, upon arriving at the room, we found that it was in disarray (trash on the carpet, shitty and unflushed toilet bowl, mess in the bathroom). After several emergencies to make corrections, the cleaning service manager came to the room and tried to make corrections, but the staff who came looked as if we were clearly annoying them and did their job with great reluctance.The second room was given to us 50 minutes after our arrival (around 18:10). It looked as if the previous guest had left it just 10 minutes before our arrival. Absolutely unacceptable for a 4* hotel. After another 20 minutes the staff gave us another room which was fine, prepared for other guests. However, on booking.com we had information that check-in was possible from 15:00. I have no idea how this is possible.And an additional "bonus": the air conditioning was not working in the entire hotel, so the temperatures in the rooms at night were hitting +30°CThe evening reception staff did not communicate at all, although they promised us some compensation. In the evening no one from the staff called back.The next time I visit Edinburgh I would rather pay for a 2* hotel, but I will avoid Delta Hotels by Marriott by far.P.S. I hope the promised 50% compensation was not just another empty promise

Disappointing stay
Liked: Breakfast was great, staff was friendly. dog friendly rooms
Disliked: Our wi-Fi went out and was never fixed. It was suffocatingly hot in the room (staff did bring fans). Shower was broken. Mini fridge did not work
