Excellent and excellent value.

Liked: Superb location. Parking. Lovely staff. Big room, two tables and desk, huge comfortable bed. Lots of room and work surfaces in the bathroom. Powerful shower.
Disliked: Tv a bit erratic (room 18, forgot to mention at checkout)

Really enjoyed the room, comfy...

Liked: They upgraded my room, it was lovely. Ensuite was terrific and the shower was great. Bed was comfy and cuddly. The room was very quiet. The staff were lovely.
Disliked: All good

Durham is such a beautiful...

Liked: Breakfast was buffet style and was a great start to the day.
Disliked: Prices in the bar were rather high and it’s more affordable to drink in the towns bars and pubs.

Liked: Central, Nice central building.Good sized car park.
Disliked: Slightly rambling through extensions.Lift didn’t work for a bit of the time.Room pleasant but air conditioning hard to make work adequately.

Pleasant good value stay in...

Liked: Old fashioned one time luxury hotel. Rather overextended in the seventies. Awkward configuration straddling a road so with no ground floor access to many rooms. Staff were pleasant. .
Disliked: Lift out of service. With our room on the third floor , across the road we had to navigate flights of stairs and corridors with luggage. No ground floor access to our room. A key card door at ground level would have been good. The buffet breakfast could have been more slickly stocked and hotter.

OK, met expectations.

Liked: Pleasant enough hotel. Room was clean but sparse. Has a minibar but would have been nice to have found a couple of bottles of water in it.
Disliked: Breakfast was a dissapointment, we didn't have the hot food as it looked dried out and rather anaemic. Very small quanities on the hot buffet so difficult to get everything you want. Parking, charged at £11 was a little mercinary in my opinion.

A good base for our...

Liked: Well-located hotel with welcoming and hel;pful reception staff and a good room.
Disliked: We were on 3rd floor in a section where the lift was out of order. We were Ok but could see others struggling with the stairs. Room was good but bed rather too firm for our liking. Useful car park (first come first served.)
