I imagine good for events,...

Liked: Excellent room (suite in the Mansion House). Very friendly, helpful staff.
Disliked: The Mansion House was dead, no restaurant open, essentially mothballed. For meals, it was necessary to walk to another building as the restaurant at the Mansion House was closed. I could not buy get a coffee. I imagine that it is fine if you are attending an event such as a wedding etc, in fact that is what it is obviously geared up for. If there are not many guests, everything shuts down.

I had a very enjoyable...

Liked: I really enjoyed my visit to your hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The swimming pool had a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. De Vere hotel provided an excellent setting for me to spend special time with my daughter.

Comfortable and satisfactory for our...

Liked: The property was modern, clean, with good facilities in a lovely setting.
Disliked: The breakfast experience was one of the most chaotic I have ever experienced. Far too small for the number of guests so impossible to find a table in the dining area. We ended up having to carry our breakfast down into the general waiting area to find somewhere to sit. Long queues at every station and insufficient staff. We found the milk and coffee machines had run out as had the pastries and no one seemed to be monitoring this ie in hand to replenish stocks. All a bit unsatisfactory for a hotel if this quality.
