Disliked: Very expensive for actually a pretty low quality room. Very overpriced breakfast. Staff are rude and unpleasant.

Liked: Comfortable country house, beautiful location, staff are so welcoming, food is great. Facilities are clean and tidy, beds are comfortable and the rooms are styled nicely
Disliked: Some parts of the room were a little tired. Would benefit from a bit of paint touch ups in places and perhaps usb charging points. Overall though, the hotel is stunning, well maintained and charming

Very good stay for a...

Liked: Lovely building and I had a very nice ground floor room in the quiet Lodge, which was also very suitable for my dog. The bar area was lovely and welcoming.
Disliked: Property was absolutely fine but because I arrived at night, when it was very dark, there could have been a simple map to show me where the Lodge was and how far away it was from the main hotel. Apart from this one minor omission, I had a very good overnight stay.

Liked: Location was ok for me. Nice and quiet - that's what I was looking for. Decor of the hotel also ok.
Disliked: Very dirty windows - loads of condensation on the window, soaking wet windowsill. Very dirty carpet and hair on the toilet - electric toothbrush marks on the surface. Dirty window and generally not clean at all. I would definitely suggest new cleaners!! And definiety carpet cleaning!

Liked: Lovely hotel and grounds.
Disliked: As we had two small dogs with us our options at the hotel were very limited, the places we could go very limited with no chance my wife and I could eat breakfast together. The bed was very small with very solid mattress and the extra cost for two small dogs very annoying as nothing provided for their care even a water bowel. Like the place but won’t go back.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent and very quickly served. Reception staff very friendly
Disliked: The room was ice cold - the radiator was off on arrival and because of the high celing in Room 6 it took from 5 - midnight to bring it up to temperature.There was no shower cap in the bathroom to protect my hair from the shower we called reception they said they didnt have one - NOT ACCEPTABLEThe phone in the room did not work we could neither call reception, housekeeping or any department. We had to use our mobile phone to call reception.
