De Vere Orchard Hotel

Can't praise this place enough. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely receptionist - very polite and very helpful, Maxxy couldn't have done enough. The room was very spacious and comfortable and had all the things in the room that was advertised. Overall just a wonderful place to stay, wish I could have stayed longer.

Disliked: Rooms very dark and only mirror was in bathroom. Breakfast was £18 per person on the day!

Excellent place to stay when...

Liked: It’s so convenient for the University so ideal for graduation
Disliked: Not enough mirrors. esp close up for make up - need a shaving mirror.

Lovely hotel for a short...

Liked: Our room was very comfy with a stunning view of the Loch which we weren’t expecting. The grounds were lovely for a short stroll. On the whole the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice. The breakfast was standard but plentiful.
Disliked: Parking wasn’t great for the elderly clientele with limited disabled bays. I requested a ground floor room for my aunt who has difficulties walking and there were no aids to assist her in the bathroom. The restaurant was nice but menu did not have variety or quality expected from a 4 star hotel.

Disliked: The restaurant is very posh and very expensive. Not such good value for money… unless you like small portions with fancy trimmings that cost a lot.

Convenient and comfortable with delicious...

Liked: Clean and modern with a friendly, sociable atmosphere. We enjoyed an overnight stay including dinner and breakfast on our way back to Hampshire from Lindisfarne. Easy to find and good on-site parking facility..Large comfortable room with good facilities, including tea, biscuits etc.The food for the evening meal was excellent. Beautiful presentation as well as delicious! Theo served us very well.Breakfast was a mixed bag, I enjoyed the‘healthy’ options available.
Disliked: Aircon at dinner was a bit brrrr. The cooked buffet was expensive, so a bit disappointing for my husband, bacon, sausage and eggs a bit dried up under the warming lamps. However the chef did cook him some delicious poached eggs.The bathroom in room 206 had a couple of issues which we informed reception about, so hopefully they’re sorted out now.
